Approved source access

DiskRoster reads only the mounted external volume or folder you explicitly select. The current native build inventories regular-file metadata and optional bounded hashes locally. It does not delete, rename, reorganize or write files on that source.

Local snapshot library

Saved snapshots contain relative file paths, byte counts, modification dates, optional hashes, scan issues, source-identity evidence and the shelf, container and notes you enter. They are stored in DiskRoster's Application Support folder so they remain searchable after the source is disconnected.

Reconnect checks

Reconnect verification observes the source again and compares it with the selected snapshot. Stable volume identity and the approved root are checked when available. DiskRoster does not send source evidence to a server, and a matching display name is not treated as identity proof.

Portable exports

When you export, DiskRoster creates a new folder containing CSV, JSON, Markdown receipts and a checksum manifest. Those artifacts use relative paths and intentionally omit absolute source and destination paths. They may include the physical shelf, container and notes you entered, so review them before sharing.

Website and checkout

This website may produce ordinary server access logs. Purchases are processed by Polar as merchant of record under its own privacy terms. Shipmac receives the purchase details needed to deliver and support the app; payment-card details are not handled by the app.

Diagnostics

No analytics SDK, account system or automatic crash-reporting service is enabled in the current app build. If you voluntarily send Shipmac a catalog or drive example for support, it will be used only to investigate the issue you reported.

Website analytics

This website loads Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. When enabled, Shipmac measures page visits, the product hostname and checkout starts; it does not send files or content processed by the Mac app. You can change your choice at any time using Analytics choices.
